“Gisel! Are you going to class this morning?” Vina’s voice came from the other end of the phone.

Giselle glanced at the rearview mirror while driving. “Yes, I’m going.”

Her head still felt heavy. Her eyes were swollen from crying all night. But Giselle knew one thing—she couldn’t show weakness.

The car drove calmly toward the campus. But just two blocks before the gate, her eyes caught sight of a familiar figure. It was Dirly. The man was strolling out of a café with a woman.

Giselle slammed on the brakes. Her hands gripped the steering wheel, her eyes narrowing.
