At six in the evening, Giselle slowly stepped into the grand De Santos mansion. Her body was still weak, though her condition was much better compared to earlier that day. Her head was bandaged, her left arm slightly bruised, and several small wounds on her legs made her steps falter a little.

As soon as the large door opened, the familiar scent of the house greeted her, mixed with the sparkling glow of the crystal chandelier on the ceiling. Aunt Hansel immediately rushed from the living room.

“Giselle!” she exclaimed anxiously, her eyes widening at Giselle’s condition. “My goodness, how could this happen? Who dared to hurt you?”
