The day felt long for Giselle.
From morning until late afternoon, she spent her time with Mrs. Hansel going around the city. They visited several boutiques, an art gallery, and a small, quiet café by the roadside. Mrs. Hansel seemed to enjoy the outing, as if nothing had happened before. Meanwhile, although Giselle’s face looked calm, her mind never truly joined the walk.
“You look distracted again,” Mrs. Hansel said while stirring her warm tea.
