It's been a week.

I haven't seen her since then, so I couldn't bring myself to do so. Instead I've been switching hotels and calling Carlos every time I get the chance.

"No offense boss but if you're so worried about her why don't you just come here and see for yourself how she's doing?"

Just the thought of seeing her would make my chest grow tight.

"Carlos, you of all people should know how busy I am right now, she is barely of any importance. I just ask because I made an investment in her and don't want it to go to waste. She can be replaced...
