I couldn't shake it off.
The whole conversation with Ravenna sat wrong in my chest, the way certain things do when something underneath them doesn't quite match what's being said on the surface. It wasn't the photo itself that bothered me - people had pasts, I understood that better than most. It was her. The way she lingered too long by the bench.
