She tried to sit up on the bed.

I helped her sit up properly, more than ready to make this announcement. “Are you ready?” Again, I asked like I didn't ask the first time.

She looked at me with sleepy eyes.

Then Amy nodded. “More than ready.” She adjusted again and looked at me. “What's up?”

“A call just came in. A while ago.”

Her eyes twitched.
