Emily's POV

My lips bloomed into a warm smile as I walked down the spiral staircase. I wore a simple blue dress and styled my chestnut hair into a bun. Approaching the dining room, I saw the maids dishing the food on several ceramic plates. My gaze flew across the exquisite meals and fruits which were on the large table. Their palatable aroma wafted in the air, causing my stomach to churn with anticipation.

It's Saturday, and I'm so glad we'll be having another family reunion right here in dad's mansion. Carl had woken up so early, his face filled with excitement because he couldn't wait to see his cousins...
