Collin’s POV 

I tried reaching Emerald for the umpteenth time, but all I got was the same robotic voice on her cell phone: “The number you’ve dialed is not reachable at the moment. Please try again later.”

A deep sigh of exhaustion escaped my lips as I tossed the phone on my sofa. My stomach bubbles with frustration as I clench my fist. Gritting my teeth, I banged my fist on the wall and growled.

“What have I done? What the fuck have I done?. I - I failed you, Emerald. I'm at fault for everything that happened between us,.now I see why you haven’t been picking my calls.”
