DAISY'S POV
The furniture was too perfect. The cracks in the mirror were too symmetrical. Even Lucy herself looked like someone's idea of what a creepy child should look like rather than an actual person.
"This is all fake," I said.
"You're wrong," Lucy insisted, but her voice was getting fainter.
"Prove it," I challenged. "Do something that a dream version of you couldn't do."
Lucy tried to cast a spell, but nothing happened.
"You can't," I said. "Because you're not real."
