NOAH'S POV

Day One

I sat beside Daisy's bed, watching her chest rise and fall with each breath. She looked so peaceful, but I knew better. The pack doctor had explained what the sleeping poison would do to her.

"She'll have nightmares," Dr. Marcus had said grimly. "Terrible dreams that feel real. The poison is designed specifically for hybrids. It attacks their dual nature, making their mind create false realities to protect itself."

"Will she wake up?" I had asked, trying to keep my voice steady.

"Some do," he replied. "Others..." He didn't finish the sentence, but I understood.

Others never wake up. They die in their sleep, trapped forever...
