"Noah will find me," I said desperately. "He'll come for me."

"I hope he does," Lucian said with an evil grin. "I'd love the chance to kill him in front of you. It would prove once and for all that werewolves are weak and vampires are superior."

"Don't you dare hurt him," I said angrily.

"Then you'd better hope he's smart enough not to come looking for you," Lucian said.

He left the room and locked the door behind him.
