DAISY'S POV

The contractions were getting stronger and closer together. Emma was right - my baby was coming early.

"It's the stress from Morgana's spell," Emma explained as she helped me breathe through another contraction. "Your body is trying to protect the baby by delivering it before the spell can be completed."

"But isn't it dangerous for the baby to be born this early?" I asked, gripping Nick's hand tightly.

"A little, but hybrid babies are usually stronger than normal babies," Emma said. "Your child should be fine."

Nick looked torn between staying with me and going after Morgana.

"Go," I told him. "Get that hairbrush before it's too late."...
