Chapter 1

Chapter 1

Natalie pov:

"What do you want?" I said in front of a group of girls who caught me in the corridor.

"Nothing. We heard that you are going to marry an alien werewolf when you return home this holiday. We come here to deliver our best wishes. Congratulations. Hahahaha." They said with a laugh and without any sense of blessing, but full of malicious mockery. It’s not a surprise of their malign tones because I had always been their target for bullying at school.

"Get out of my way, don't be so pretentious." I clenched my fists, trying to calm myself down, and said to them.

" You are a bitch with a great temper. What's your attitude when we talk to you nicely and kindly? You're just a parasite in our tribe, so you deserve to marry to an alien werewolf, a rogue." They looked at me contemptuously and laughed.

Their words hurt me. Since I didn't want to spend any time with them, I turned and ran away directly, leaving their chilling laughter behind.

When I went back home, I lay in my room, tears streaming from my eyes.

I was really an unfortunate person.

…………

"Natalie, They are coming." I heard my mother Davis calling my name anxiously.

"Mom, it's OK. The situation might not be that bad." I tried to comfort my mother, but in fact I knew the situation couldn’t be worse.

I was an unfortunate person.

Today was my engagement day, but I didn't feel an ounce of joy.

Because this marriage is just a deliberate event organized by my uncle.

My grandpa was Alpha, the leader of the tribe. He was too old to be a leader, and my father Boris and uncle Dover were the only persons to be qualified to succeed his place.

Five years ago, in a battle with rogue, my father Boris was attacked by the enemy. Although my father survived due to his strong strength, he lost a leg. Now he could only live humbly in the tribe but could no longer fight for the tribe.

The werewolf tribes all cherished and only respected wolves with strength and power. Since my father Boris lost his former strength, our families were treated as parasites in the tribe, suffering from sneers and bullying from others every day.

It’s undeniable that my father was disqualified from the succession of the Alpha, but Uncle Dover still intended to worsen our situation. He encouraged my grandpa to make a stupid arrangement, helping me engage with an alien werewolf from unknown tribes.

What Uncle Dover was afraid is that if I marry to a powerful tribe in the future, I will use the power of the other tribe to threaten his Alpha status. Dover is coward and narrow-minded, always with a delusion of being killed.

But so what? I want to escape. I’d love to leave everything behind and get out of here. But what would happen to my parents if I ran away? How would they be treated? I could not leave them behind. Thinking of this, I took a deep breath and stiffened the waves inside me to calm down.

"That bastard, how dare he pull such a stunt, I sent people to pry for information about that alien werewolf, but the information from all the big families told he was nobody, I heard that the bastard was found casually from the gutter by Dover. Therefore I suspected that that alien wolf to be a rogue." My father said, slapping the table angrily.

"A rogue? My God, how dare they do that to Natalie." My mother, Davis, jumped up and down in a rush.

"Don't go, Natalie. I can't let my daughter marry a rogue, a bastard. I'll fight with them." The father was so excited that he leaned on his crutches and headed to the door. He got so excited that he stepped off and fell on the ground.

"You can't even walk steadily, how would you hurt them? You are still cranky as usual, do you still think you are the same strong as you were back then? If you hadn't urgently asked for achievements in front of your father back then, you wouldn't have lost this leg, and our family wouldn't be like this." Mother Davis hurriedly went over to reach out to my father, murmuring in complaints.

"All right, Davis, it's all my fault. It's me, it's all because I'm just a wreck, failing to protect you all."

The father on the floor excitedly pushed his mother away and stood up himself with great difficulty, his eyes red with suppressed emotion, finally breaking the self-esteem of this once powerful man, and my mother froze for a moment.

I looked at my father today, feeling heartbroken. I love my father deeply, rushed over to take my father's wrist, helped him back to his seat, and comforted.

"Father, It's okay. I believe that even though my grandfather was cruel, he would not let me marry a rascal. This must be uncle's trick to prohibit my grandpa from knowing the truth."

"Mum, please stay with my father for a while. Wait for me to see the situation first, then we make a decision." I said to my mother.

"Okay, you go first. I'll stay with your father and come over later." My mother looked worriedly at my father, then at me.

"It's okay."

I then walked out of the room and closed the door. I closed my eyes, trying to stay calm, but tears flowing down from my eyes incessantly in vain.

In fact, I was only 17 years old and wasn't that strong. I had already had enough of the clan's cold-eyed taunts. A werewolf's life is all about finding its mate. When a werewolf reaches adulthood, it can smell the scent of its mate. Once a werewolf finds its mate, they will be bound to each other for the rest of their lives, but there are also some werewolves who will never find their mate for the rest of their lives.

I didn’t reach the age of adulthood, but I wanted to meet my destined mate as well. I had imagined his appearance, would his wolf skin be black, or brown, would it be silver or even gold. Would he sense my aggravation, my pain, and then embrace me and protect me with his warm and strong arms.

When I thought about it, a vague image flashed through my mind. 10 years ago, I had helped an injured little boy in a back alley, and he still treated me as an angel. We had a brief time together, and after he healed and left, I never saw him again. I didn’t remember his appearance anymore, but he smelled so good that it was impossible to let go.

Why would I suddenly think of him at this time, was he my destined mate? I shook my head and wiped away my tears. Even if he was, it was too late.

I walked slowly along the corridor, delaying for one more second if I could, even deluding myself into thinking that it was a corridor without an end. But in reality, unfortunately, I ended up at the door of the living room.

Waiting for me in the living room was my uncle's son Bowler and a strange man. This stranger would be the alien werewolf, the person I would marry.

When I walked in, Bowler looked up and saw me with a fake smile on his face.

"Ah, my dear cousin Natalie, you're here. Where are Uncle and Auntie?"

"They're coming later."

"That's good, my father has worried a lot about arranging a lifelong event for you this time."

"Then I really should thank you." I smiled coldly.

"You're welcome, let me introduce you to each other, this lady is my cousin Natalie. This is Mr. John, whom I know from Brooks district, New York, congratulations, I think you guys are a good match." Bowler showed a gloating expression.

Brooks is a notoriously ghetto neighborhood in New York, and when he says we're a good match, he's really just mocking at me. How disgusting the man is.

This kind of ridicule I have long been used to, and I did not want to bother with him. I turned my head and looked carefully at the alien werewolf named John.

I saw that although he was wearing a bit of ragged old clothes, he didn't look dirty and was neatly groomed. He looks very tall and fit with bronze skin and short red hair. His eyes had a color of clear light blue like the color of a lake, and his cold expression was completely unreadable. He kept looking at me silently, but I had no idea about what he was thinking. But I actually didn't hate his gaze, and even found his eyes a bit charming.

"Hello, beautiful lady, nice to meet you." He stood up and walked towards me, taking a deep breath before saying.

"Hello." I hurriedly got out of my thoughts and replied indifferently.

At the same time I secretly pinched myself, reminding myself once again that his charm was just an illusion, and that this man of unknown origin was probably in cahoots with Uncle Dover. I could not take it lightly.

I took a cautious whiff of his scent, and it struck me as odd. Wasn't this fey werewolf a rogue? Rascals who lose their homes and go around doing bad things will have a particularly bad smell on them. This fey werewolf did not have such a smell, but instead a vaguely familiar smell.

"Hahahahahahaha, my dear cousin, congratulations on finding such a wolf-king as you wish. I thought John was a good match for you from the moment I saw him in Brooks. Now you finally have a man in your family who can raise a family. Oh, of course, I'm not saying that Uncle Borris can't raise the family, but actually that is a truth. Hahahahahahaha." Bowler kept talking.

Bowler's appearance at the moment was ugly and his words were malign. Every time he let out a disgusting laugh from his throat, it deeply irritated my mind. I wish he would shut up, but I couldn't dear to summon even a wolf to resist. I couldn't stop his humiliation, feeling angry and aggrieved.

"Your father has broken this leg for so many years. Were it not for the Red Moon Pack supporting you, your family of three would have starved to death. And now I've gone through all troubles, helping you find an 'excellent' fiancé, you should really owe me a debt of gratitude. Hahahahaha, I hope you can give birth to a dog sooner, as you wish. Go home and do it tonight. Oh please remember to wash yourselves before sleep, or you may be stained with a little stink, which smells like 'rogues'."

When saying the last line, Bowler bit his lips without the sound ‘rogues’ coming out. But I completely understood his meaning, his words constantly stabbed my heart. Even if I lost my temper, I am still helpless. I bit my lips, clenched my fists tightly, holding back the tears in my eyes. Then, the blurred figure flashed again in my mind, and I even had the illusion of that figure appearing in front of me. Tears finally streaming down uncontrollably.

"You shut up, stupid." John suddenly shouted angrily at Bowler.

"BOOM!!!" With a bang, I saw Bowler was pushed away by John and slammed directly onto the wall. It was not an illusion, at this moment John was standing in front of me. It really was John's figure.

Then he twisted around and stretched out his arms to pull me into his arms. When I instinctively raised my hands to push him away, a nice smell came into my nostrils, a nostalgic smell, which made me forget to resist for a moment.

At this time, John had held me tightly in his arms and was stroking my back with his hands. Shouting angrily at Bowler by saying something even shocked me further.

"I'm not a rogue. I'm her destined mate."
