Chapter 6 Because You Don't Listen To Me

Chapter 6 Because You Don't Listen To Me

As Vivian and Nelson left the scene, nobody paid them any attention. All eyes were locked on Florence, and the speculations ran wild.

When she finally stepped onto the red carpet and introduced herself as Florence Queen, the entire live stream exploded!

Viewers divided into two camps: one that swooned over her and another that simply couldn't believe it, filling the barrage of comments with heated arguments.

However, the limelight was all hers for the moment. Florence followed the standard procedure on the red carpet, but she still had to pass through a long corridor to reach the indoor area.

Little did she know that, while turning a corner, a hand suddenly reached out and grabbed her wrist, forcefully pulling her into a private room.

"Bang!"

She was thrown against the wall with considerable force, causing her spine to tingle from the impact.

Florence frowned and saw the furious man standing before her. To be precise, he was her ex-husband, the one who had already become a "dead person" In Mrs. Anjou's eyes.

She raised an eyebrow politely but didn't get a chance to speak. The man in front of her, seething with anger, couldn't contain himself.

"Florence, didn't I tell you to leave Chicago when we divorced? Why have you come back now?"

"You're back now, of all times. Are you trying to ruin my wedding?"

"If you dare to even think about it, I won't spare you!"

"I don't like you! Understand that already! Stop testing my patience!"

Florence watched him finish his tirade, then let out a soft laugh.

With her free hand, she lightly stroked his impeccably tailored suit, then lightly tapped his tie. "Sir, who exactly are you?"

She actually asked him who he was? And she had the audacity to touch him?

Does she have any shame left?

Nelson pushed her away, his face tensed with warning. "Florence, don't play games with me."

Florence blinked, "President Gonzales, you're quite difficult to deal with. It's you who said we're strangers after we divorced, and I've been listening to your words!"

She tilted her head, a mischievous glint in her eye. As she spoke, there was a hint of coyness in her smile, adding a touch of allure.

Nelson's gaze darkened.

This woman... had she learned to captivate men in such a short time?

His throat tightened, and his emotions grew even worse. "If you were so obedient, why didn't you leave Chicago when I told you to?"

Florence attempted to pull her hand free, but he held it firmly. She sighed, "I left, and now I'm back. Surprised?"

"Florence!"

The old her used to follow his every command, nodding obediently in his presence, never daring to confront him like this!

Had she gone mad?

He tightened his grip, "Don't provoke me. I'm telling you, whatever your purpose is for coming to Chicago, you better leave right now. Or I'll make sure you can't stay here. You have one day, don't let me see you in Chicago tomorrow!"

Florence clicked her tongue, her beautiful eyes glinting with coldness. "And what if I don't leave?"

Nelson lowered his gaze, looking at her as if she were a joke, the same disdainful look he had given her three years ago.

He sneered, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "What? With the hundred million that I give you and your new identity as big influencer, now you think you can challenge me? Florence, remember, as long as I'm not willing, you won't make it in the entertainment industry. You'll never surpass me!"

"Well, let's see about that," she said as she brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, exhaling a fragrant breath. "President Gonzales, don't be too confident."

Nelson licked his lips, infuriated. "Fine, when the time comes, don't come begging me!"

He let go of her hand and walked away without looking back.

Florence, with her delicate skin, had already developed a bruise on her arm from his tight grip. She rubbed her wrist, a bit frustrated. Then, she looked at the departing figure of the man who had caused all this commotion and called out, "Wait!"

"Wait!"

Nelson's footsteps slowed down a bit, but he didn't stop.

He guessed that she must be regretting it now, she must be scared. After all, she knew well about his financial power. She probably wanted to apologize and beg for forgiveness.

He smiled, feeling in control, listening to her desperate calls.

Tap, tap, tap, the sound of high heels approached, getting closer... and closer...

"Bang!"

A sudden, sharp pain at the back of his head made him wince. Something hard and pointed had hit him, sending shivers down his spine.

Nelson felt dizzy and instinctively covered the back of his head with his hand. He turned to see Florence slowly retrieving her bag.

He glanced at her bag, a small black square covered in rivets, his head buzzing. "Did you just use this to hit me?"

Florence chuckled and offered her honest opinion, "I have to say, a three-million-dollar rivet bag makes for a perfect weapon."

Nelson was fuming. "Are you out of your mind?"

Florence, undaunted, retorted, "I told you to wait, didn't you hear me? Why did you keep walking?"

"So you can hit me with your bag?"

"Maybe my high heels next time. So when I tell you to stop, you better stop."

"You dare to speak to me like this?"

"Oh, are you not used to it? Get used to it because you will be. "Florence Vivian smiled gracefully as she tidied her bag. She approached him in her 8-centimeter high heels, locking eyes with him. "I have a few things to say, so listen up."

"I..."
