Eliana's frustration grew as she thought more about it, and she found it difficult to fall asleep even after ten o'clock.

There was a knock at the door, but Eliana ignored it, thinking it was probably Little Snow coming to deliver bird's nest soup, which she had no appetite for.

"You're not asleep? Why didn't you open the door for me?"
