Sitting in between Connie and Teddy had allowed Hilda to prevent the other man from giving her any more wine.

With Linux and Hilda sitting on each side of Connie, Teddy knew that he had no chance to make his move tonight because Nathan was still looking at him from the side. Even if Connie became drunk, Teddy would not be able to drag her away, so he left with little interest.
