Lisa let out a sigh of relief as Axia dropped the subject of the chain.

She was glad that she didn't have to come up with a convincing explanation for where she got the expensive-looking jewelry.

There was no way she was going to tell Annie and Axia about her newfound wealth, at least not yet.

Just as Lisa was lost in thought, Annie glanced at her wristwatch and suddenly stood up.

"Guys, it's already 9 pm. I should probably get going. Eric will be worried if I'm not home soon," Annie said, gathering her purse and phone.
