Every one of my nerves were intertwined together and my brain barely functioned as I replayed every scene in my head. The hunters. Were they really hunters? What if they were in disguise?
I swallowed hard as my heart raced while I prayed for the day to break. Maybe Aiden would have mustered enough strength. Maybe he'd be able to move a little so our escape could be faster.
My back leaned on the wall, my brain still analysing every face of the hunters. No, they didn't look suspicious.
