The noise hadn’t died down after Lena’s broken confession. The circle was still buzzing, laughing, shouting, the air thick with alcohol and sweat. Phones stayed aimed at her catching every second of it.
Then a voice cut through the chaos.
“Spread her legs!”
The chant picked up instantly.
“Spread them! Spread them!”
Lena froze, stomach dropping. Her thighs clamped shut, her whole body trembling as if that could shield her but the stomp of feet grew harder, the chant hammering in her skull.
