Until we arrived at the station, Kate and I never said a word to each other. Knowing what was at stake, we understood that this was certainly not the time to get familiar with each other. All that mattered was ensuring that Olivia was rescued from the imposters who called themselves policemen.

“We are here now,” I said as we pulled into the parking lot. I was about to step out of the vehicle when Kate pulled me back. A thought seemed to have crossed her mind.
