“You must be excited about this, aren't you?” Kate teased me.

“Am I?” I blushed and smoothened my skirt as though it were rumpled. I was acting like a child without actually knowing it.

“Yes, you're.

That's not bad If you ask me. I haven't seen you this excited before. If going out on a date with Adrian would restore your happiness, then I won't judge you,” Kate told me. That was the best thing I've heard in a long time.
