Emma POV,

One week later,

It's been one week and upto this day, the vampire I encountered that night didn't return.. I am not complaining tho!

I am even glad that he didn't show up again..

Also, since that day I didn't hear anything about vampires , unlike before, there were those who were seen dead on the road and a bite marks on their necks, they immediately assumed and say that was the strange boy from local university while some assumed that it's monster's doing..but nothing can substantiate their imaginations..

Aren't they know that vampires exist in the human world...???

As long as they see dead body, they will immediately conclude, monster..

They are addicts!

If they just knew what I experienced that night, having a normal conversation with a real vampire.

But on the other hand, I wouldn't let them know that i have encountered one of them though..

And who would ever believe a nerd like me???

"C'mon Emma! I am begging you!"

Carol pleads on her knees again and tangled on my arm...

"Carol shut up, you are too loud, the librarian will definitely scolds us for what you are doing! " I hissed at her annoyingly and abruptly retract my hand on her which cause her to stumbled on the floor..

"Ouch! Damn it Emma! "

She complained before getting up and shoot me a dagger look before sitting down next to me..

"You know that I can't go with you, I need to take care of Jenna , she is alone.." I said with a bit harshly but in minimal voice because the librarian had been looking at us since the moment Carol came in...

Carol keeps persuading me to go with her to underground , she wanted to watch the three famous but strange singers ..but this time along with the singers, some magicians had also come...and she is so eager to see them..

Three singers and those magicians that up to this day, no one knows who they are, because whenever they will come to our place just for Battle, they wore marks, nor they even say their names , just right after they win they will suddenly disappear..

I have been to that place a couple of times even though my parents kept telling me that's dangerous to be there, I don't know why my parents always refused me to go there but I never listened..

After all, after the battles , some of the singers couldn't accept the defeat..

So the tendency, there will be a chaos and sometimes the police will even respond because some illegal activities are happening inside that place..

Although, I told carol several times to stop going to that place, but she also never listened.. especially when she knows about that trio magicians will also there for a new battle..

Carol was also a singer, although we were both singers, but I just stopped since my parents dead.

Carol and I met when I was 6 years old, we just moved into this country because of my dad's new job and I can still vividly remember how carol and I met..

I went out to throw the garbage that my mom asked me to do because we're cleaning the house since we were just moved in and I happen to saw her singing on the side of the road , I was really amazed and surprised by how good she is in singing, her voice is really euphonious and clear...

And if i am not mistaken, she takes singing classes from a long time..

Then she saw me staring at her while smiling, she stopped singing and walked closer to me..

She asked me if I was in love with her because of how good she is in singing..

I didn't expect that she will asked that and so I laughed out loud and hit her with the plastic trash I was holding, she got angry and punched me in the shoulder..

After that, we looked into each other's eyes and laughed and that's how we started being friends, she also found out that I was also a singer so we had more reasons to be close..

Until we finished elementary, we joined singing clubs and compete with every school in our town, we always won...

Heck! We are the best singers in our whole town...

I just stopped singing when we were going to college because I needed to prioritize my education ...

Especially when my parents were died and situations became worst and I had no choice..

"It's just a matter of time, just after the trio, we are leaving too.." She still insisted and shook my arm desperately..

" I really want to break your 206 pieces bone! " I said with an eye roll..

"As if you can, c'mon Emma, let's go with me!

You are always immersed on your books , f*cking nerd.." She hissed..

"Fine fine! I am going, let me go! "

I said in defeat and she let go my arm just to hug me tightly..

"Yes! I knew you can't resist me! " She said excitedly as she hugged me , I keep trying on removing her hand from me that we didn't even notice that the librarian was standing in front of us..

"Can you both please get out if you wouldn't mind..??? You are too noisy, as you can see, you are not the only person inside the library!" She scolds irritatedly with her arms resting on her waist..

"I am so sorry ma'am, " I apologize before picking up my bag and clutched the books against my chest hastily and heads straight to the exit..

"Annoying old maid nerd librarian.." Carol hisses and rolled her eyes...

"You know that it's library but your loud ass could not understand that! Seriously Carol?

Today is our first day after a week's vacation and yet we get scolded..?!" I scowled and smacked her head..

"Ouch! " She growled and shoot me a dagger look ..."If you had agreed to it immediately, we would not have been kicked out, and hello? As what you have said , this is our first day after a week's vacation and yet you're in the library ??" She said sardonically as she cares her head where I hit her..

" Alright then, it's my fault, happy?? " I sarcastically told her and I made my way straight to the university exit..

"I will go home first to see Jenna .." and saying this, both of us came to the road outside the university...

"Okk! I will get my clothes change , just make sure that you will get out of your house or I will throw a brick on your windows if you don't come out..!!" She threatened , I just rolled my eyes and I started walking straight..

And we were just crossing the road when a car suddenly passed by in front of me breaking the speed limits inside the campus , which cause me to suddenly hit my left arm and I lost my balance..

"Aahh ouch! " I winced as I fell on the road..

Carol hurriedly come to me and reached out to help me get up..." Are you okay???" She asked worriedly.

"I am fine.." I assured her then bend down to retrieve my broken glass, it also had a small crack and I flicked my tongue in disappointment..

"Great..!! Dad just bought it for me..!!" I groaned before I looked over the car that stopped not too far away from us and a boy came down..

"You are f*cking nerd..!! You almost scratch my car..!!" He yelled at me and when I looked at him, he was the same guy I had eye contact with a week ago in college.. I was about to retaliate but Carol had spoken first..
