In a single, breathless motion, Calvin leaned in until his lips hovered a whisper away from hers close enough that she could feel his warmth, close enough that time seemed to stutter. Then he brushed her mouth, barely there, a fleeting touch so tender it unraveled her senses. Her breath caught, and for a heartbeat she almost chased his lips with her own. 

But he veered away.
