"Haven't you heard the saying that action speaks better than words, Damon?" Hendrix asked with a smirk on his lips "So I am taking this girl away and yes! You do not have the qualifications to stop me. I am your boss in everything," he muttered as he said his last sentence with a snort.
"Let me go!" Mahalia screamed.
"Stop shouting," Hendrix hushed, then walked out of the pub, straight to his car.
He dropped Mahalia into his car roughly as she groaned angrily at him.
"Who do you think you are uh? You dare brought me here against my will?!"
"Maybe I should ask you that same question. Who do you think you are to talk to me like that. You are no one, okay. Just sold to me. And you should have thanked your ass out there. Damon would have f*cked the hell out of you if you are his slut. But fortunately, you aren't. You are sold to me and you are mine,"
"Sold to you?! What the heck are you saying," Mahalia widened her eyes, trying to reason what he was saying. How can she be sold to him like some goods in the market. He must have mistaken her for the wrong person.
"You are Mahalia Jose and your father, Cesar Jose sold me to you. I payed him money just to have you. Do you get that?!" Hendrix said with no expression in him.
Mahalia still felt he was saying a ridiculous thing. How can she be sold? What the heck is he saying. By her father again?!"
"What are you saying?!" Mahalia yelled at him. "You are saying nonsense,"
Hendrix frowned deeply. Seeing that emotional face made his face change with anger.
"I hate drama. Stop acting and go sort out from your parents. I will let you go for today, but tomorrow, no chance for drama. I am coming back for you." He said coldly, then turned his face to look at the girl that looks like she was confuse and probably lost. "Now, I am warning you. Don't you dare try to run away, or else, if I catch you, both you and your parents are gonna pay, pay terribly," he threatened.
Mahalia took a cab all the way home. Her mind was in all what Hendrix told her. She was sold?! She was sold by her father?! How can she be sold?! Everything was just okay yesterday, so what's happening today?!! How can she be sold?!! The Mafia is just saying nonsense.
The cab finally reached it's destination as Mahalia payed up, before hopping out, only to see her mother and surprisingly, her father, together. Aren't they arguing and fighting yesterday and the day before?
"Mom?" She called out on her mom who was busy watering the plants. Alexa widened her eyes in shock, seeing her daughter walking into the house.
"O...oh Mahalia, you are back,"
She acted all surprised.
"Yes I am, aren't you expecting me back home?" Mahalia asked in disappointment. But her father is the one she wants to speak with ? With the way her mother acted all surprised seeing her back, seems also surprising to her.
"No...no of course I am expecting you back home. Why are you even asking me ridiculous questions Mahalia?"
Mahalia avoided her, than walked in to meet her dad who was sitting on the couch with his hands rubbing his chin, thinking hard if course.
"Dad?!" She called.
Cesar's ears immediately stood in alert as he heard his daughter's footsteps. His daughter is here. He thought Hendrix would have taken her away, he never expects her to be back home.
"Mahalia," he turned around to see her in a not too good mood. He couldn't even read her expression as she kept her face straight, walking up to him slowly, her expression seems a little confusing.
"Dad," she called.
"Mahalia, you are here. What happened now? Why are you so moody,"
"Dad, who is Hendrix?!" She asked and Cesar widened his eyes. Hendrix has already made a move already? But why isn't she in his house? Why is she here?! Cesar couldn't answer at first and angrily, Mahalia asked again.
"Dad, who is Hendrix and what does he have to do with me, Dad?"
"Hendrix is your husband now, Mahalia," she could hear her mother's voice from the corridor.
She walked in with the napkin.
"What?!" Mahalia mouthed.
"Yes. As you heard me say, Hendrix is now your husband,"
"Mom, you are also in hand of this?"
"Of course I am Mahalia. I don't want to die in poverty. At least he gave us money for you. You are now his husband, be happy," Alexa snorts at Mahalia. Mahalia didn't know when a tear fell off her eyes. She was in sadness and in pain. How can they do this to her?? They are her parents for goodness sake!
"Mom, you sold me to him. He gave you money and that's selling your only daughter to a Mafia god,"
"I am not selling you to him Mahalia. I needed money to pay Damon off and also money to take care of this family. And besides, you are already old enough to get married," Cesar said to her daughter.
"What?!!" Which family do you want to take care if I am gone? Mom? What will happen to me? Do you know what I will be going through..."
"Mahalia, just shut up! The Don would take care of you. Stop acting all foolish now," her mother shunned as Mahalia just widened her mouth, speechless.
What the shit are they saying?? If she had known this is what her life will actually become, she would have ran away or killed herself a long time ago because she doesn't really want this. This is total rubbish and her mother and father, they are in hand of this nonsense.
"Mom, please. Dad, please, please stop all these madness. It isn't funny anymore,"
"Are we smiling to you, uh?" Alexa frowned at her.
"Mom, please stop! Please, stop all these madness,"
"Your husband will be coming by tomorrow or perhaps this night to come pick you up, be ready cause you are going to marry Hendrix Santos if you like it or not. Got that?!"
Mahalia burst into tears as she ran into her room in speed. She can't believe her birth parents are trying to sell her. Are they that brutal?!
