Chapter 9: Gloomy Thursday

"I'm going to see grandma. I will be back in two days." Mrs. Sand told her kids.

"Can't we go with you, mum?" George her second boy and the last child she had given birth to before her husband Mr. Sand died.

John walked in looking unkempt for he had just got out of bed.

"John, I will be going to grandma's place and I won't be back today." She told him.

"Don't care, Mum." John replied.

"You will keep an eye on your brother till I return."

"Really? Mum?"

Mrs. Sand opened the door. " Yes, son." Then she left....
