We stayed out late before heading back.
When my stomach growled, the man beside me chuckled softly.
He tucked my hair behind my ear and asked, "What do you want to eat? I'll make it."
I was a bit surprised.
I had never heard of him cooking before.
Perhaps my gaze lingered too long, as he raised an eyebrow.
"Don't believe me?"
He gestured for me to come over.
"Come on, help me wash the scallions."
...
What he meant by "cooking" was just a bowl of noodles and a fried egg.
Even so, he seemed quite clumsy.
He didn't even know whether to add cold water first or last....
