"Is it because he's my daddy, mommy?" He asked again and I swallowed trying to come up with a reply but my throat was dried up

I was speechless- short of words, what am I to say right now?

"Charlie buddy" Linda came to my rescue, squatting before Charles and taking his hand from me. "Who told you this?"
