"I'm so happy for you both," Emma gushed, and my cheeks heated up as I turned to Kai, who was staring back at me. He raised our entwined hands and kissed them; he also kissed the back of my palm, mouthing 'I love you.' I mouthed 'I love you more' back to him

We were seated at a round table; several delicacies were laid out in front of us. I got to know where we were, in a hotel farther from Kai's house

"Jenna," Kai called, and I turned to him. "There's something I've been meaning to tell you but I'm not sure what your reply will be"...
