I woke up this morning feeling super hungry. Threw off my blanket, hopped into the shower pronto. Slipped into a T-shirt and some black cotton pants. Tied a bandanna to keep my bangs in check.
Grabbed my backpack and hustled downstairs. Mom was cooking up something for breakfast.
“Hey, Mom. Good morning.”
My mom looked up and smiled. “Morning, baby. How’d you sleep?”
“It’s good, Mom. Hey, can I ask you something?” I inquired later.
Mom didn’t answer but immediately served up a delicious breakfast. “Just tell me what you want to ask, sweetie,” she said.
“Can you take me to the psychologist?” I asked a little doubtfully.
“Psychologist, honey?”
I nodded slowly while my mom sat before me, looking really concerned.
“You’re fine, aren’t you? Do you have any other problems besides Felix?” she questioned.
I replied, “Mom, I think mentally I’ve been kinda off the last few days. I couldn’t control my emotions, you know? I haven’t really let go of my trauma.”
“Honey, if you wanna see a therapist, let’s plan it ahead. If it’s a Sunday and you’re off with no plans with your best friend, we can schedule a session with a psychologist.”
I agreed and quickly finished my breakfast. Since I didn’t have any plans this week and I’m not dating anyone anymore, I kissed my mom on the forehead, telling her I loved her before heading off to school. I hopped on my beloved scoopy and entered the school gate.
As I walked in, my eyes landed on Felix, sitting in the park like he usually did, engrossed in his favorite comic book, just like the days before.
I tried my best to brush off Felix and just focus on myself, you know? I always said I was getting over him, but truth be told, it’s not that easy. I can’t forget how he dumped me, especially when things were so good in our two-year relationship. Those memories are just stuck with me. I always dreamed of finding a partner who’d stick with me through thick and thin, someone I could count on. I wanted a bond so strong that only death could break it, not because of some other girl.
But guess what? The Moon Goddess didn’t pair me up with Felix. So, as I was about to take off this helmet I had on, I heard that wolf inside me going wild, all excited about feeling my mate’s presence. I decided to ignore Kitty for now and headed straight to our room, eager to get back to my painting. Time’s ticking, and I don’t want to waste a second. Our painting room was being guarded by a bunch of dudes dressed in all black. They asked why I was there, but I quickly flashed my ID card to prove I had every right to be there.

TERRENCE’s POV
“Get me the info on the girl,” I told the woman.
“Which girl are you talking about, Mr. Gregory?” she asked.
“The one you hired to paint with her red hair,” I mumbled.
“Oh, are you asking for details on a girl named Kate, Mr. Gregory?”
“Don’t talk too much!” I snapped at her.
I could see the fear in her face, but I didn’t care. All I wanted was Kate’s data. I was curious about which pack she belonged to. The wolf inside me was already roaring when I saw she had just parked that weird motorcycle.
I snatched the files from the older woman’s hands and quickly opened them. I skimmed through some crucial details about the red-haired girl and nodded slowly. She caught my eye, and I could smell it on her. It was so strong, I couldn’t deny it. I had to have that girl.
“Are you into Kate, Mr. Gregory?” she asked.
“That’s none of your business,” I replied.
“Sorry, Mr. Gregory. I don’t mean to be presumptuous with you. But I just wanted to let you know that she recently broke up with her boyfriend. If you’re interested in Kate, maybe you can approach her soon.”
I couldn’t help but smirk at the old lady’s explanation. I’ve got Kate’s address in my pocket, and I’m thinking of paying her a visit later. I’ll swing by after catching her attention, which needs to happen ASAP. I can’t let another Alpha take her away like before.
“Tell her I’ll be waiting on the roof after school,” I instructed the person in front of me.
“But why, sir?” she asked, puzzled.
I chuckled, “Just do as I say.”
She nodded, and I adjusted my coat before heading over to Judith. I’ll ask him to take me somewhere nearby. I’ve got a gift in mind for that broken-hearted girl, and I’m determined to make her fall for me.
The question lingers: can a terrifying alpha like me capture her attention? I’ve heard she’s an omega, and maybe she’s heard the rumors about my cruel alpha reputation. Will she be scared of me? The wolf inside me chuckled, shaking its head, urging me to find a gift that will immediately impress Kate.
“You know what you need to do, right?” I asked Judith.
“Sure thing, boss. You can count on me. I know what you like.”
I flashed a grin and strolled past Judith, hopping into my BMW. Time to hunt for a gift for Kate. I’ll be back at school by 2 in the afternoon.
Can’t wait to see that girl.
“Just hang tight, Tiger. I’ll make sure to impress the lady.” I threw a confident smirk his way.
