Eleanor saw her stepdaughter who had come to her for questions. Of course She's curious to know what the problem is but how would she start explaining everything to her?

Eleanor showed her the video which some people have sent to her. Even after reading the video she couldn't still understand anything but to cry because her step mother was crying.

"Mother please what is this?" What do you mean by this video? She asked as Eleanor took a deep breath. "Your father is dead! He had a fatal car accident on his way home! She broke the unpleasant news to her as she cried bitterly.

Two weeks later, Logan company went bankrupt. His company was taken away by the debt collector who used it in replacement of the loan which he was owing them. After the death of Chloe's father everything was never the same again. She stopped going to school two days after his death and when she asked her stepmother about it, Eleanor could only tell her that her father's money had run out and there was no way she could pay for her school since her father never had any plans for her before his death.

Chloe became a burden to Eleanor who couldn't care for her and even to eat became impossible for them to do. It's finally gotten to some point where Eleanor had to sell her dead husband's house which they've been living in just to get some money. She later used some of the money to rent an apartment for themselves hoping to do some business with the rest of the money but it didn't work as she later used the money for irrelevant things.

Chloe was damn tired of staying at home when her mate all are in school and even though she tell her stepmother about the situation, she will ended up beating the poor innocent girl and threaten to throw her out of the house if she ever mention anything like school to her

Eleanor tried her best to look for paying Job in one way and other but at the end, she ended up becoming a prostitute who sleep with people for money and at the end of the days she always go home with at least ($100) every night but when she met Ryder, Everything all changes. It was love at first sight as they both agreed for each other and dated. Later they both get married and Chloe has to go stay with them in their new home.

Chloe was at least happy because Ryder, her new stepmother's husband , was very nice to her then Eleanor who always treated her badly. Ryder was a wealthy guy just like Logan, he was a businessman and he owns some restaurants Also.

"So about the restaurant; we need someone who could be doing the dishes and cleaning for us! Do you think we should hire someone to do that? Ryder had one day ask Eleanor about it.

"No, definitely no! I think I got someone who could be doing that for us! "Who? Ryder asks and for a while he comes to realize that it's actually Chloe she might be talking about. "But she's just a little girl! She's obviously too small for such work! Ryder didn't agree with her at first but what can he do? Eleanor never fails to give him the Reason why Chloe has to be working in the restaurant.

"Remember honey; She isn't related to us! I mean she's just my dead husband's daughter who isn't even related to me anymore and I can say that we are really helping him by taking care of his daughter so in return she also has to help us manage the restaurant also. Ohh please don't look at it as if we are mistreating her because we haven't done anything wrong in treating her this way.

"You're totally right about that!" Ryder suddenly came to realize what she was saying was true as they broke the news to her. But what can the poor little girl do other than to obey them like a maid which she was to them.

"So what do you say about that?" You like to be working there right? Eleanor had asked her one day with a cheerful smile as she took a deep breath.

"I really don't want to but what choice do I have? I know what will happen if I disagree with your words. But mother, you are going to put me in school right? I need to go to school because my father said that education is the key and I can only be successful in Life if I go to school. Chloe shrugged at her expecting some nice reply from her only to receive an unexpected slap on her cheeks.

"Enough of this your attitude Chloe! I might decide to throw you out of this house if you keep up with this attitude. "How many times have I warned you to stop bringing up your father's memories in front of me? Everytime your father_ your father! If you miss him so much I can kill you just now so you can meet him in the afterlife and also don't you ever bring out the school topic again to understand?

Hold your education to yourself! "Yes mother! I'm sorry I understand and as from now I shall run the restaurant business! Chloe uttered politely with tears running down her cheeks as she smiled.
