Emily's POV

“Why would you do that?!” I challenged Adrian.

“Do what?” He asked, throwing the last piece of whatever he was chewing into his mouth. “Don't you think we need to talk?”

“I do, but this is obviously not the time to remind me.” I said.

“Are you mad at me?” He asked me.

“Yes. I am, very.” I answered.

And he didn't look apologetic. Not for anything, ending my call, or scaring me so bad.

“You know?” He started, “that's funny, cause I'm mad at you too.”

“That's a you issue.” I said. I was beyond pissed. I picked my laptop up and headed for the living room....
