I waited and waited, but all I heard from the living room was Mom's sharp voice:
"Eat if you want, if not, starve! She's being so spoiled at such a young age!"
My sister kept pleading, speaking up for me.
Gradually, Mom's tone softened, and she started praising my sister for her kindness.
Look at her, always such a good, obedient child.
Everyone adored my sister, the perfect sister.
But I hated her. If she weren't here, I would've been the only cherished one in the family.
Or maybe, it would've been better if I didn't exist at all. Then I wouldn't have to live in her shadow every day....
