I made my way over to the reception and stood among my fellow interns. Some chatting idly, others tapping away at their phones and Liam just standing there.

He looked at me and smiled and I returned the smile. I didn’t want to carry on with the anger so I decided to be free with him though I couldn’t accept him back as my lover because Nathan was already here and I couldn’t date a man who left me without notice. I rubbed my palms against my thighs, suddenly uneasy. Something wasn’t right.
