The warmth of her body pressed against mine made it impossible to leave the bed. My gaze lingered on Stella, noting the dark circles and the exhaustion etched in the lines of her face. A cry shattered the silence, forcing me to roll out of bed. As I checked on Olivia, the door creaked open, and Phiona entered.

“I'll take care of it,” I offered. Phiona nodded and quickly explained how to change the diaper, but Olivia’s cries persisted.
