After my shower, I went back into my bedroom only to find it empty. I looked all over for Amelia, but she wasn’t in the room. Quickly getting dressed, I began to search the house for her, worry creeping into the pit of my stomach. I began to panic as Amelia was nowhere to be found. I rushed outside, hoping she may be there, but instead of finding Amelia, I found my father standing by the sunflowers and basking in them.

I stopped abruptly, “Dad, what are you doing here?” I asked as calmly as I could.
