After I was done eating, I grabbed my bag and headed to Roberto's office. I knocked softly and walked in.
"You ready?" He asked without looking up, still focused on whatever he was holding.
"Yeah," I replied, feeling a mix of anticipation and anxiety.
"Okay," he tossed aside the paper and finally looked up. "Go wait in the car, I'll be there soon."
"Okay," I said, turning to leave. As I walked out, I felt a flutter of nerves in my stomach. I just hoped everything would be okay.
