I sat in my office and glanced over at the wall clock opposite me. It's been an hour since I left Clara, but I just had this sudden urge to see her.

I left my office and headed to her room. The guard who stood there moved and bowed as he sighted me.

"Clara?" I knocked, but no one answered.

"Where's the Luna?" I asked the guard who stood outside her room.

"No Alpha, the Luna hasn't returned yet."

"She hasn't? It's dark right now. Could she still be outside?"
