POV: Xavier

The first erasure bomb hit Unity City Three at dawn. One moment, fifty thousand people were waking up, starting their day. The next moment, nothing. Not rubble. Not bodies. Just empty space where a city had been. As if it had never existed.

Through my Void-touched senses, I felt it happen. Felt reality being unmade, existence being deleted. The sensation made me want to vomit.

"Report!" I barked into the command network.

"Unity City Three is gone, sir," Lieutenant Chen's voice was shaking. "Complete erasure. Fifty thousand civilians. No warning, no defense, just gone."

Thelma appeared at my side, her face white. "Earth-Nihilus?"
