THELMA

The Grand Assembly Hall buzzed with nervous energy. Thelma stood at the podium, looking out at faces that would have been impossible to see in the same room six months ago. Werewolves sat beside vampires. Ascended humans chatted with witches. A dragon lounged in the back corner, his massive form barely contained by the reinforced ceiling.

This was history. This was hope. And Thelma refused to let fear destroy it.
