I kept my hands on my knees as I sat in my empty room while my breath escaped me erratically. No news from Evelyn since her departure kept stabbing me through the heart with each passing day without knowing she was safe. Our connection remained completely still ever since she left with Luca although I tried numerous times to call but my efforts led to complete silence.
