The portal led us right to where we had parked the car. It was right where we left it. I pushed Lance to the passenger’s seat and allowed him to rest, not waiting a single moment to go to the driver’s seat and inserting the keys to the ignition.

“Let me drive,” he mumbled and I grunted but did not reply to him.

“Enough Lance, you have done just enough,” I seethed.
