I shrunk away as the sun pooled into the room threatening to blind me. I winced and cursed at whosoever must have left the curtain open at this odd hour of the morning.
I sat up pushing the cover, up to my chin to shield my eyes from the onslaught of the sun. Looking around, I confirmed that no one was around and at the same time, my body was no longer aching like yesterday.
I stood from the bed and went to the mirror to check out my outlook. To say it mildly I was looking like hell. I can’t believe I had degenerated to this extent.
