Jace was really confused with what was going on with him. He left her room that night by tucking her into the duvet and putting off the lights. He never wanted to do that but in the end he found himself doing it. 

He also did another thing that he never wanted to do, he told Annabelle that Constance is his wife after telling her that she was his maid, he did so when he left her room that night.

He got angry at Annabelle when she asked Constance to bring a bottle of whiskey to his suite.

He knew why Annabelle did that, she wanted to get his wife...
