Alex gazed at me.
I nodded. “Go get a surrogate, Alex. You don't even have to wait till the end of the year.”
“You can't be serious, Layla. How will a woman tell her husband to go get another woman pregnant?” he asked.
I turned to him, my expression serious. “If the woman can't fulfill her duties then I see no reason why she shouldn't agree.”
Alex moved closer to me, placing his hands on my shoulders. “It's not your fault, Layla. Don't see yourself as that. You have always been with me through difficult times, I can't look away from that.”
