I felt only darkness around me, though I could feel the chilly air on my skin but I couldn't seem to open my eyes. I tried escaping the darkness but it seemed I was trapped then I felt my heart clenched in pain, then I had to force my heavy eyes open.

I looked up and tried regulating my breathing. My eyes were cloudy and I felt my mind go blank, then after some time, everything started coming back. The fight with Kennedy, the pains, the struggle, the mate bond, then—Kennedy!

My eyes widened in shock, then I sat up anxiously. My heart which has calmed down begins...
