Cynthia padded inside and shut the door behind her before she began agitatedly tugging at her robe as she waited for me to locate the right packet. It was difficult to refrain from staring at her since she exuded an air of chastity and naiveté that pervaded the area around her.

After finding the pill, I put one on the table in front of her and then proceeded to pour some water into a tall glass. ‘‘Here you go…’’

She didn't waste any time and swallowed the pill before taking a sip of water. ‘‘Thank you so much…’’ her lips curved into a small, grateful smile....
