‘‘What are you doing here?’’ I asked Arnold while meeting his angry gaze, but rather than responding to me, he threw the umbrella on the ground, pulled me into his arms, and captured my lips, making me close my eyes.

Even though the cold water from the rain was pouring into our body, his lips were warm and gentle as he kissed me.

He parted my lips, and I gasped as he intensified the kiss. I was shocked, like I was struck with thunder and lightning. My brain froze as well as my whole body.
