Ted's POV

I claimed to hate my daughter, but here I am in an elevator to attend my date with Agnes. Saint was right, she's fond of me. Only a phone call was enough to persuade her to go on a date with me.

Tensed, I watched the number of floors at the top of the elevator. With each number, my heart thumped heavily. My reflection on the steel covered elevator slapped me on the face. It was as if it was saying "You should be ashamed of what you're about to do."
