Despite the fear, Megan was nodding. She couldn't resist the hold KuLaa had on her soul.

“Why are we drinking vampire blood?” Ryan asked. He looked easy and pale in the face.

“Because you are more than a wolf.” KuLaa gave Ryan a knowing look and a devilish smile.

Ryan was shocked. He darted a worried look at Megan, but the girl was just sitting there like a puppet, waiting for further instructions.

“What do you mean?” Ryan asked, hoping and praying that KuLaa was just shooting in the dark.

KuLaa chuckled and handed the bowl with a single heart to him. “Eat?” She ordered.
