THE WEDDING

The words ‘I can’t believe it’s happening’ are scratching, but that’s how I really feel.

Holding a pile of Gladiolus flowers in my hand I quietly waited outside the church. I no longer bowed to my glittering wedding gown, because the glitter of my eyes made me feel dizzy. I was contemplating with myself if I should grit my teeth or tighten my grip on the flowers. I'm so nervous and happy.

I was standing behind the church's huge door with sister Celine and brother Loren. They were quietly looking at me, checking if I'm all done or there's anything I need.
